Bobby Burnett Lee is a writer, instructor, and language arts consultant. He earned his MFA in Writing from the University of Texas at Austin as a Michener Fellow and his MDiv from Naropa University. He has worked as a college writing instructor, high school ELA teacher, textbook analyst, ghostwriter, and editor of over thirty nonfiction books, including works by Alan Watts, Apolo Ohno, and Damien Echols. Bobby’s poetry and fiction have been published in dozens of journals, and he has won multiple awards for his writing, including recognition from the Academy of American Poets, the Lenz Foundation, and the Michener Center for Writers. His 2024 novel Ain’t Never No Snow in Atlantis was the runner-up for the Joshua Tree Novel Prize and a semi-finalist for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship.
